- the Quartier Latin, which includes Montreal's Gay Village;
- the Monkland Village, another trendy area of shops and restaurants;
- the Lachine Canal, which stretches from Old Montreal to Lachine.

And then there are the
many Montreal attractions -
- the Biodome to the Planetarium to the Insectarium
to the Botanical Gardens;
- Mont Royal Park and Lafontiine Park;
- the Olympic stadium, the Bell Centre;
- culture place like Place des Arts and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts,
plus theatres including the English language Centaur theater;
- and for those who like stomach-turning rides, there is La Ronde.
