La Residence
In the nineteenth century, this was the home of a wealthy family,
with wood panelling in the rooms, and stained glass windows.
Now the windows have made way for modern wood framed windows.
The wood panelling is still there.
But the place has been modernized in many ways.
Most of all, what was one the basement is now a huge living room,
with stone walls.
Plus, there are 3 bathrooms - the original one on the ground floor,
and two modern ones, including one with a Jacuzzi.
The dining room has kept its nineteenth century look.
The kitchen is state of the art - stainless steel appliances.
The bedrooms have much of the feel of yesteryear.
As many would say, the best of the old and the new.
This is La Residence.
