And now ...

Hello from Elsa,

This part of our project - creativity workshops and other workshops, retreats, expeditions and helping hands holidays - is just being developed. But it will become an important part.

Some of my best holidays have been workshops (creativity, from writing to songwriting, plus a self-exploration one). My sister's best holidays have been helping hands holidays, for example, helping out in orphanages in Peru.

On the other side are the people who love giving a creativity workshop, a writer's or artist's workshop; who enjoy nothing more than organizing treks, etc. It has been the dream of a friend to give more than the occasional workshop (in her case, on imaging our future). Another friend started by climbing the big peaks in Peru, and continued on to organizing treks and climbs - and to helping out where he could (building homes and working with orphanages, etc.).

Workshops, from self-exploration to creativity workshops, not only give us a chance to develop our individual gifts and get to know ourselves better (and often to change in some positive way or other). We also connect with other people, often deeply. I have so many good memories of people from workshops I've attended.

Treks and climbs and expeditions are another way of getting to know, not only nature but ourselves and the others in the group.

Helping - it's one of the fundamental human needs. An emotionally healthy infant puts food into its mother's mouth - helping her.

As for helping hands holidays, we will start in Peru - because often it isn't easy to be able to help. (Traditional holidays are much easier to organize!) We may see the desperate poverty on the outskirts of Lima, where mudslides may kill hundreds in a heavy rainfall. But where can we do something (safely)? In Peru, we know a couple of organizations. (These holidays can be combined with an expedition, trek or climb).
